So, I set out to get my hands on one of those Rangers’ series weapons in Wuthering Waves. Heard some folks talking about ’em, maybe saw a picture somewhere, can’t quite recall. Anyway, looked kinda cool, functional, you know? Figured it’d be a solid piece to add to my arsenal, maybe good for one of my characters.

Starting the Hunt
Didn’t really have a specific guide or anything when I started. Just kinda went off intuition. I remembered fighting some of those Exile enemies, the ones that look like they’re part of that Ranger group, scattered around. My first thought was, maybe they drop it? Or parts of it? So, I spent a good chunk of time just roaming around the areas where I knew they hung out. Went through the motions, clearing camps, taking down patrols. Picked up the usual materials, but no weapon parts jumped out at me immediately.
After a while of just bashing random mobs, I started paying more attention to the environment. Noticed some specific chests, sometimes tucked away or guarded by slightly tougher groups of enemies than usual. Popped a few of those open. Found some interesting stuff, like old logs or diaries mentioning Rangers, and sometimes, these little insignia-like items. Okay, maybe that was the path forward.
Digging Deeper – The Actual Work
Alright, so the new plan was hunting down these specific chests and maybe tougher Exile enemies. This took me on a bit of a tour. I revisited some ruins I’d only skimmed through before, poked around some caves I’d marked on my map but never fully explored.
- Spent a good hour or two just combing the hills around the main city.
- Fought a particularly nasty group of Exiles holed up in an abandoned structure. That took a couple tries, not gonna lie.
- Found a couple of those special chests hidden behind destructible walls or simple puzzles.
It wasn’t like finding pieces of the weapon itself, more like collecting these special Ranger insignias or tokens. Each one felt like a small victory, you know? Like I was actually making progress instead of just wandering aimlessly. Had to keep track of which areas I’d thoroughly searched. Sometimes I’d find one, sometimes I’d spend thirty minutes searching and come up empty. It was a bit of a grind, definitely tested my patience.
Getting the Goods
Eventually, I had gathered a decent little pile of these Ranger tokens. I remembered seeing a dialogue option with one of the vendors in Jinzhou, maybe the weaponsmith? Went back there and talked to him again. Scrolled through his options, and yeah, there it was – something about exchanging collected insignias. Seemed like this was it.
Handed over all the tokens I’d busted my butt finding. There was a little confirmation screen, took the items, and then, boom. The crafting menu or whatever process it uses kicked in, and the Ranger’s weapon was mine. I picked the sword version, personally.
Final Thoughts
So, yeah. Got the weapon. It looks pretty solid, fits the whole wanderer aesthetic. Took a fair bit of running around, fighting specific mobs, and hunting down those chests. Was it super complex? Nah, not really. Just time-consuming, tracking down all those little pieces across the map. Felt good to finally have it crafted, though. A nice sense of completion for that little personal quest I set myself. Now, time to actually upgrade it and put it through its paces, see how it holds up when the fighting gets real.
