This here Roma. Reigns, he’s a big fella, ain’t he? I seen him on the TV, flippin’ folks around like flapjacks. Big strong boy. Reminds me of my grandson, always wrestlin’ with the dog. Except this Roma. Reigns, he wrestles with other big fellas. For money, I reckon. And a big shiny belt!
He’s got this thing, they call it WWE. Sounds like alphabet soup to me. But it’s where all them wrestlin’ folks go. He’s the top dog there, this Roma. Reigns. Like the rooster in my coop, rulin’ the roost. They call him the champ. Means he’s the best, I suppose.
He’s been the champ for a long, long time. Longer than I can remember, really. My memory ain’t what it used to be. But I seen him on the TV just the other day, still holdin’ that shiny belt. He must be good at this wrestling thing.
- He beats up this one fella, Big Show, they call him. Big fella, that one.
- Then there’s this other one, Cesaro. Funny name, ain’t it? He beats him up too.
- And another one, Del Rio. Sounds like a fancy restaurant. Roma. Reigns, he beats them all!
Now, there was this other fella, Bruno, he was a champ for even longer than Roma. Reigns, that is what I heard. The WWE champion for a real long time. Longer than I been alive, I think! But this Roma. Reigns, he’s gettin’ close to that, I hear tell. He’s gonna be the longest champ ever, maybe.
This Roma. Reigns, he’s got some family, too. All wrestlers, they are. They call ’em The Bloodline. Like a bunch of wolves, stickin’ together. They all got funny names, too. Jey and Jimmy and Solo. And another one, Jacob, and Tama. It’s all a bit much for me to keep track of, to be honest.
They had this big match, see. All of ’em, fightin’ each other. It was on the TV. Roma. Reigns and his boys, they lost that one. Even the champ loses sometimes, I guess. Just like when my rooster gets into a fight with that mean old hawk. Sometimes he wins, sometimes he don’t.
But this Roma. Reigns, he ain’t down for long. He’s like a weed, that one. You can’t keep him down. He’ll be back, fightin’ for that belt again. He had a match with a man named Sami Zayn, it was a good one. This Roma. Reigns sure can put on a show. Keeps me entertained, that’s for sure.
I don’t know all the rules of this wrestling thing. Too complicated for me. But I like watchin’ it. It’s excitin’. And this Roma. Reigns, he’s the best one to watch. He’s got that fire in him, that boy. Like a good stew, simmerin’ on the stove. He’s gonna be around for a long time, I reckon. Winnin’ matches and holdin’ that belt.
They say he’s the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. That is a mouthful ain’t it? I just know him as Roma. Reigns. He is something else. You young folks and your fancy words. I don’t understand half of what you all are talking about.
I don’t get out much these days. My bones are old and achy. But watchin’ Roma. Reigns on the TV, it makes me feel young again. Like I could go out there and wrestle myself! Not really, of course. I’d probably break a hip. But it’s fun to dream, ain’t it? He is a strong one, that Roma. Reigns. Makes me proud, somehow. Even though I don’t know him from Adam.
Well, I best be gettin’ on with my chores. Got to feed the chickens and tend to my garden. But I’ll be watchin’ Roma. Reigns on the TV again soon, I’m sure. He’s a good boy, that one. A good wrestler. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Being good at what you do. And entertainin’ an old lady like me. That’s important, too. The WWE sure is good at picking them, ain’t they?
