Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into the world of Russian MMA fighters in the UFC lately, and man, it’s a rabbit hole! I wanted to see who’s making waves, who the top dogs are, and maybe even find some new fighters to follow. Here’s how I went about it, and what I found.
First, I started with a simple search, that’s pretty much basic. I just typed “top russian ufc fighters” into my search engine. The results were insane, I immediately got a bunch of names, some I recognized, some I didn’t.
Figuring Out Who’s Who
Next, I needed to organize this mess. I grabbed a pen and paper (yeah, I’m old school sometimes) and started jotting down names that kept popping up:
- Khabib Nurmagomedov (obviously!)
- Islam Makhachev
- Petr Yan
- Zabit Magomedsharipov (though I heard he retired?)
- Alexander Volkov
- Magomed Ankalaev
