I’ve been thinking about Sable and WWE for a while now, ever since that documentary came out. That woman was a freaking pioneer! So, I decided to dive deep into her whole story. Started with the basics, you know, her early days, how she got into wrestling, all that jazz.
First, I spent hours just watching old matches, reading interviews, and scouring forums. Got a real feel for the whole Attitude Era vibe. Man, those were some wild times! It was crazy, but she was right there in the middle of it all.
Her Early Life
- Checked out some old articles and biographies, learned about her pre-WWE life.
- Found some interesting tidbits about her modeling career. Did not know that!
- Discovered she was married before, which kinda surprised me.
Rise to Fame
- Watched tons of her matches from the late ’90s. Iconic stuff!
- Read about all the storylines she was involved in. The drama!
- Noticed how she really changed the game for women in wrestling.
The Whole Playboy Thing
- Delved into the controversy surrounding her Playboy appearances.
- Read both positive and negative opinions about it. It was a mixed bag, for sure.
- Formed my own opinion – she made a choice, and it worked out for her.
Leaving and Returning
- Researched the reasons behind her departure from WWE. Complicated stuff.
- Looked into her lawsuit against the company. That was a big deal back then.
- Followed her brief return in the early 2000s. It was okay, but not the same.
Life After Wrestling
- Tried to find info on her current life. She’s pretty private these days.
- Read about her marriage to Brock Lesnar. Power couple!
- Realized she’s living a pretty normal life now, away from the spotlight.
After spending all this time on it, I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of Sable’s impact on WWE and wrestling in general. She was a trailblazer, no doubt about it. Sure, there were controversies, but she owned it all and carved out a unique path for herself. I ended up admiring her a whole lot more. It was quite a journey, digging into her story, but I’m glad I did it. It’s always cool to learn about the people who made wrestling what it is today. Now I got to decide who to do next. It’s tough, so many stories to cover!
