Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Taylor Pend-something, the golf guy. He just won that Byron Nelson thingy, good for him, I guess. Folks are makin’ a fuss about the sticks he uses, so let’s see what all the fuss is about. They call it “witb”, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but it’s just about his golf clubs, nothin’ more.
First off, that driver, the Qi10. They say it’s good for hittin’ the ball far and straight, even if you don’t hit it perfect. Sounds like somethin’ I need for my gardenin’, ha! This Qi10 thing, they say it’s better than the old one, more forgiving, they call it. Don’t know much about that, but if it helps the boy hit the ball better, then it must be somethin’.
Then there’s the woods, the 3-wood and the 5-wood, I think. He uses some kinda Callaway thing. Folks say he hits the ball a mile with them. I reckon that’s good for gettin’ on the green faster. I remember when I used to use a stick to hit rocks, didn’t go very far though.
- Driver: Taylor uses that Qi10 thing. They say it’s real good.
- Woods: Got himself a 3-wood and a 5-wood, Callaway brand I think. Good for hittin’ far.
- Irons: He’s got these Srixon irons, from 4-iron all the way to pitching wedge. They say he hits the ball real nice with them. I wouldn’t know, I ain’t never held one of them fancy irons.
- Wedges: Got a couple of them wedges, for when he’s close to the green. One is a 56 degree and the other is a 60 degree. I used to use a shovel for gettin’ close to things.
- Putter: Ah, the putter. This is where you gotta be real careful. He uses this Odyssey Jailbird thing. Looks a bit funny, but if it gets the ball in the hole, then who am I to judge? Lots of folks usin’ that Jailbird putter, so it must be doin’ somethin’ right.
- Ball: Plays with some kinda TP5x ball. I guess it goes far and straight, just like that driver of his.
Now, this Pend-whatever fella, he’s with Srixon. That means they pay him to use their stuff, I reckon. Smart fella, gettin’ paid to play golf. I used to get paid in chickens and eggs back in my day.
He’s had a pretty good year, this fella. Finished 14th in that FedEx Cup thing. That’s gotta be pretty good. Folks say he hits the ball a long way, and he’s pretty good at hittin’ it straight too. That’s important in golf, I hear. You gotta keep that ball outta the tall grass, and the water, and the sand. Too much trouble if you don’t.
So, there you have it. That’s what’s in the bag of this Taylor Pend-something fella. Fancy clubs, I tell ya. But it ain’t the clubs that make the golfer, it’s the fella swingin’ ‘em. You could give me the best clubs in the world, and I still couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. But good for him, winnin’ that tournament and all. Hope he enjoys it.
Taylor Pendrith’s Clubs – A Quick Rundown
So, this Taylor guy, he uses a pretty good set of clubs. The driver is supposed to be real forgiving, which means even if you don’t hit it perfect, it still goes pretty straight. The woods are for hittin’ the ball far, and the irons are for hittin’ it on the green. The wedges are for gettin’ close to the hole, and the putter is for knockin’ it in. And that ball, the TP5x, that’s supposed to go far and straight too.
It seems like this fella’s got a good setup, and he knows how to use it. He won that tournament, after all. So, if you’re lookin’ to get into golf, or if you’re just curious about what the pros use, now you know. But remember, it ain’t just about the clubs. You gotta practice, and you gotta have a good swing, and maybe a little bit of luck too. And don’t forget, golf is just a game. Don’t take it too serious.
