Okay, so I was trying to solve this crossword puzzle the other day, and I got totally stuck on this one clue: “skiing event.” I’m not a huge sports person, you know? So, I was staring at it, racking my brain, thinking, “What could it be?”
I tried to think of all the skiing events I could remember from, like, watching the Olympics on TV. Nothing was clicking. I even tried putting in a few random words, hoping I’d get lucky, but no dice.
My “Aha!” Moment
Then, I decided to do what any reasonable person does these days – I pulled out my phone and started searching. I typed in “skiing event crossword clue” and boom! The first result I saw mentioned this word: SLALOM.
- I was like, “Slalom? What the heck is that?” I mean, I’d heard the word before, somewhere, but I couldn’t picture it.
- Turns out, it’s that skiing event where they go down the hill weaving in and out of those little flags, super fast.
- It’s actually pretty cool, now that I know what it is.
So, I typed “SLALOM” into the crossword, six letters, perfect fit! I felt like a genius, even though I totally cheated. It fit the clues perfectly.
