Today, I was thinking about my fantasy football team and had a tough choice to make. I’ve got Ezekiel Elliott on my team, but I noticed Jerome Ford was available as a free agent. Both of them are running backs, and I couldn’t decide who would be better for my team going forward. So I started digging around to see what I could find out about these two players.
Looking at Ezekiel Elliott
First, I took a look at Ezekiel Elliott. He’s been a solid player for the Dallas Cowboys for years. I remembered watching him a lot, and he always seemed to get a decent number of carries and yards. But lately, he hasn’t been putting up the huge numbers he used to. Plus, he’s getting a bit older for a running back, which made me wonder if he might slow down even more.
- Checked his stats from the last few seasons.
- Noticed a slight decline in his rushing yards and touchdowns.
- Considered his age and potential for further decline.
Checking out Jerome Ford
Then I turned my attention to Jerome Ford. He’s with the Cleveland Browns, and he stepped up last season when Nick Chubb got injured. I didn’t know much about him before, so I did some research. Turns out, he did pretty well filling in for Chubb. He’s younger than Elliott and seems to have a lot of potential. The Browns’ offense seems to like to run the ball, which is good for Ford.
- Read some articles about his performance last season.
- Saw that he had some good games when given the opportunity.
- Thought about the Browns’ run-heavy offense and how it could benefit him.
Making the Decision
After going back and forth, I decided to take a chance on Jerome Ford. It was a tough call because Elliott has been reliable in the past. But I felt like Ford had more upside at this point in their careers. I dropped Elliott from my roster and picked up Ford. I’m hoping that Ford can keep up the momentum from last season and become a key player for my fantasy team.
I’ll definitely be watching closely how both players do this season. Maybe I made the right choice, maybe I didn’t. That’s the fun of fantasy football! I’ll keep everyone updated on how this decision plays out for my team. You know how it is, sometimes you gotta go with your gut.
