Okay, so I’ve been hearing all the buzz about the “Lament” puzzle in the NYT crossword. People were saying it was super tough, a real brain-buster. I figured, “Hey, I like a challenge,” so I decided to give it a shot. I’m no crossword expert, mind you, but I do them occasionally for fun.

First thing I did was print out the puzzle. I like to do crosswords the old-fashioned way, with a pencil and paper. I just find it more satisfying than doing them online. Plus, I can scribble notes and erase mistakes easily.
I started by scanning the clues, looking for any “gimmes” – you know, the easy ones that you just know right away. Filled in a few of those, which gave me a couple of starting letters for the harder words.
Then came the real work. I started tackling the longer clues, reading them carefully, trying to figure out the wordplay. Some of them were pretty tricky, with double meanings and misleading hints. I definitely had to think outside the box for a few of them.
- I used other website to help me check the answer.
- I kept searching and thinking.
I have tried a lot of methods, and spent at least two * really hard for * i finnally get it!
I wont lie, and I’m not too proud to admit that the last word I was completed by my * after I finish the * feeling is super good.
