Yo, what’s up, everybody! It’s your boy back again with another deep dive into the stats world. Today, we’re breaking down the showdown that everyone’s been talking about: Tatum vs. Brown. These two have been lighting up the court, and I had to see for myself what the numbers really say.
So, I rolled up my sleeves and started digging into the data. I wanted to compare these two titans head-to-head, looking at everything—points, rebounds, assists, you name it. First off, I pulled up their season averages. Tatum’s been a beast, dropping around 28.8 points a game, grabbing 9.3 boards, and dishing out 5.7 assists. Not to mention, he’s been swiping 1.2 steals per game. Dude’s a monster!
But Brown, man, he’s no slouch either. He’s been putting up 23.9 points a game himself. I had to check out their playoff performances too. What I found was wild. Turns out, Tatum edged out Brown in most of the counting stats during the NBA Finals. Yeah, you heard that right. Tatum was averaging more points, rebounds, and assists than Brown. He even had the highest single-game scoring output between the two, with 31 points in both Games 3 and 5.

- Assists: Tatum’s also been the better playmaker.
But here’s where it gets interesting. Defensively, Brown’s been holding it down with a defensive rating of 115.4. That’s solid, man. It tells you he’s locking guys up on the other end of the court.
I also found out that they are leading their team to the NBA title, their performance is amazing!
After crunching all these numbers, it became pretty clear to me that while both of these guys are incredible, Tatum’s just been a notch above in terms of overall impact on the game. But, you gotta give props to Brown for his defensive hustle and still putting up big numbers.
