Today, I’m gonna talk about something that’s been buzzing around in my head for a while: The Undertaker’s Streak. Yeah, that legendary WrestleMania winning streak. I got super into it and wanted to see if I could dig up every single match and make a neat little record of it. Let me tell you, it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be!
Getting Started
First, I hit up the internet, just Googling around, you know, the usual. I found some lists, but they were all scattered and some of them even had different information. It was a mess. So, I decided I had to make my own list, a good one that I could trust. I grabbed a notebook and a pen – yeah, I’m old school like that – and started jotting down what I knew off the top of my head.
Digging Deeper
Then came the real work. I spent hours watching old WrestleMania matches. Man, some of those were a real blast from the past! I had to double-check everything, make sure the years were right, the opponents were correct, and the match numbers matched up. It was kinda fun, actually, reliving those moments.
Making the List
Slowly but surely, my list started taking shape. Here’s a little snippet of what I put together:
- WrestleMania VII (1991) – Jimmy Snuka
- WrestleMania VIII (1992) – Jake Roberts
- WrestleMania IX (1993) – Giant Gonzalez
- WrestleMania XI (1995) – King Kong Bundy
- WrestleMania XII (1996) – Diesel
- WrestleMania 13 (1997) – Sycho Sid
- WrestleMania XIV (1998) – Kane
- WrestleMania XV (1999) – Big Boss Man
- WrestleMania X-Seven (2001) – Triple H
- WrestleMania X8 (2002) – Ric Flair
- WrestleMania XIX (2003) – A-Train & Big Show
- WrestleMania XX (2004) – Kane
- WrestleMania 21 (2005) – Randy Orton
- WrestleMania 22 (2006) – Mark Henry
- WrestleMania 23 (2007) – Batista
- WrestleMania XXIV (2008) – Edge
- WrestleMania 25 (2009) – Shawn Michaels
- WrestleMania XXVI (2010) – Shawn Michaels
- WrestleMania XXVII (2011) – Triple H
- WrestleMania XXVIII (2012) – Triple H
- WrestleMania 29 (2013) – CM Punk
I kept going until I had the whole streak documented, from that first win against Jimmy Snuka all the way to the… well, you know. I’m not gonna spoil it if you haven’t seen it. It is a shock though.
The End Result
It took a while, but I finally did it. I had my own complete, accurate record of The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak. It felt pretty good, to be honest. Like I had accomplished something, you know? And it’s all there, in my trusty notebook, ready whenever I want to look back on it. Maybe I’ll turn it into a proper spreadsheet one day, who knows. But for now, I’m happy with my handwritten record of one of the most awesome things in wrestling history.
