Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this game, “Zenless Zone Zero,” and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. Started off just poking around, trying to figure out what’s what. You know, the usual new game stuff.
First thing I did was dive into the tutorials. I had to unlock them first. I did that by just playing through the game. Once I found a new feature, bam, a tutorial about it unlocked. It was kind of cool, like finding little hidden lessons. And guess what? Each tutorial I unlocked gave me some in-game currency, called Polychrome. Not much, just 1 Polychrome per tutorial, but hey, it adds up.
Then I got into the whole character thing. Turns out, you can’t just pick who you want to play as. Nope, you gotta do these things called “pulls” on a banner, which is like a gacha system. It’s a bit of a bummer because the free resources they give you to do these pulls are pretty limited. You gotta be smart about it, or else you’ll end up with nothing. So I’ve been trying to strategize which characters I really want, ’cause getting all of them without spending real money seems like a long shot unless you are really lucky.
After that, I started doing these “Hollow Zero” runs. It’s like a weekly thing, and you can get rewards from up to 15 runs each week. I pushed myself to do them all. There is a cap on how much “Z-Merits” you can earn from these runs, though – 900 per week. But you know what’s cool? Doing these runs gives you a bunch of extra “Dennies,” which is another type of in-game currency. I’m talking over 200,000 extra Dennies per week! That’s like, 400 “Battery Charges,” which is pretty sweet.
Oh, and these Hollow Zero runs? They’ve got different difficulty levels. I started at the lowest one, “Edge,” just to get a feel for it. Then I moved up to “Frontline,” “Interior,” and finally “Heartland.” Each level is harder than the last, obviously, but the rewards get better too.
Here’s what I did, step-by-step:
- Unlocked Tutorials: I played through the game normally, triggering events to unlock tutorials.
- Learned Tutorials: I went through each unlocked tutorial in the Proxy Handbook to learn more about the game.
- Collected Polychrome: I got 1 Polychrome for every tutorial I unlocked.
- Pulled for Characters: I used the limited free resources to pull for characters on the banner.
- Did Hollow Zero Runs: I completed up to 15 Hollow Zero runs each week for rewards.
- Earned Z-Merits: I earned Z-Merits from the Hollow Zero runs, up to the 900 per week limit.
- Got Extra Dennies: I received over 200,000 extra Dennies per week from the Hollow Zero runs.
- Tried Different Difficulties: I played through the different difficulty levels of Hollow Zero – Edge, Frontline, Interior, and Heartland.
So yeah, that’s been my experience with “Zenless Zone Zero” so far. It’s a grind, for sure, but it’s been fun figuring things out and getting a little bit stronger each day.
