Okay, so, I’ve been digging into this “Grill and Glory” thing on Monopoly GO, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a grind. This whole event started on May 28th, 2024. I remember because I had it marked on my calendar. It started at 2 PM Eastern Time, and I hopped on right away to check it out. This is the popular board game MONOPOLY GO.
First off, I launched the Monopoly GO app on my phone. The event was right there on the main screen, all shiny and new. It’s called a “tournament,” but it’s really just me playing the usual game and trying to hit certain milestones. I noticed it was only going to run for one day, so I knew I had to make the most of it.
I started rolling the dice like a madman, trying to land on specific tiles to rack up points. It was pretty straightforward—land on this, get points, land on that, get more points. The usual Monopoly stuff, you know? But the key was to keep an eye on the “Grill and Glory” milestones list. That’s where they show you what you need to do to earn the rewards.
- Roll the dice and move around the board. This is the basic way you play the game.
- Land on specific tiles. Certain tiles give you points for the event.
- Complete milestones. The game sets out certain goals, and when you hit them, you get rewards.
- Collect rewards. As you reach milestones, you collect your prizes. These can be dice, money, or other in-game goodies.
I spent a good chunk of the day just rolling and collecting. It got a bit repetitive, but hey, that’s how these games go, right? I noticed that the higher milestones were really tough to reach. It felt like they wanted you to spend real money to get enough dice to hit those top rewards. I’m not about that life, so I just played what I could.
My Progress
I managed to hit a few of the early milestones. Scored some extra dice and a bit of in-game cash, which is always helpful. But those top-tier rewards? Forget about it. I’d need to play non-stop or spend a fortune to get there. By the end of the day, I was pretty much done. Collected what I could and called it a day.
Honestly, it was a fun little event, but nothing to write home about. If you’re really into Monopoly GO, you might get a kick out of it. Just be prepared to grind or open your wallet if you want those big prizes. Me? I’m happy with my small haul and moving on to the next thing. It finished on May 29th.
