So, I kept hearing whispers about this new Marvel game, ‘Marvel Rivals’. Sounded kinda like those hero shooters, which can be fun sometimes. The first thing that popped into my head wasn’t the gameplay exactly, but who they actually managed to get in the game. You know, the cast. It’s Marvel, that list is half the fun.
Finding a solid list wasn’t super straightforward right away. I just started searching online, the usual stuff. Typed in ‘Marvel Rivals characters’, ‘who is in Marvel Rivals’, things like that. You get a lot of articles rehashing the same trailer info at first.
My Digging Process
I had to sift through a few gaming news sites and watched a couple of reaction videos people put up. Some showed bits of gameplay or menus. That’s where I started piecing together who was actually confirmed, not just rumored.
It took a bit of time, clicking around, trying to verify what I saw. You see a flash of a character in a trailer, then try and match it up with what folks are reporting.
The Roster I Found
From what I gathered poking around, here’s who seems to be in the mix so far. It’s not official-official from me, just what I managed to spot and confirm across a few sources:
- Iron Man – No surprise there, right?
- Spider-Man – Looked like the classic Peter Parker version.
- Hulk – Big green guy, expected.
- Doctor Strange – Magic dude is in.
- Black Panther – Wakanda forever, etc.
- Storm – Always cool to see her.
- Magneto – Interesting choice, bringing in a major villain.
- Magik – Illyana Rasputina, that’s a bit deeper cut, cool.
- Loki – God of Mischief, makes sense.
- Peni Parker – The anime-style Spider-person with the robot? Okay, that was unexpected.
- Scarlet Witch – Saw her mentioned quite a bit too.
- Luna Snow – K-Pop hero? Another surprising one for me.
- Groot – Seems like the adult version, maybe?
- Rocket Raccoon – Can’t have Groot without Rocket usually.
There were a few others maybe hinted at, like Mantis and Namor, but the list above felt more solid based on what I saw repeatedly.
My thoughts on it?
It’s… a list. Definitely got some heavy hitters, some popular movie characters. Mixing in Magik and Luna Snow feels like they’re trying to appeal to different fan groups, which is smart I guess. Peni Parker still feels like the oddest one out for me personally, but hey, maybe she plays great.
It feels like a starting point. I bet they add way more down the line. Still kinda hoping for some others, maybe Daredevil or Wolverine, but we’ll see how it goes. For now, that’s the lineup I could piece together from just digging around online for a while. Just wanted to share what I found in case anyone else was curious like I was.
