Okay, here we go. Here’s my take on my “b fernandez tennis” practice session, written like a casual blog post:

My Brutal (But Awesome) ‘b fernandez tennis’ Session
Alright folks, let me tell you about my tennis practice today. I decided to focus on trying to emulate some of Bianca Andreescu’s (or at least, what I think is part of her) game – hence the “b fernandez tennis” thing. Don’t judge the title, okay? I just needed a catchy name!
So, first thing’s first, I warmed up. Gotta get those muscles ready, you know? Started with some light jogging, some dynamic stretching (arm circles, leg swings, the usual), and then I did some shadow swings with the racket. Felt kinda silly, but hey, gotta look like you know what you’re doing, even if you don’t!
Next, I hit some groundstrokes. I really focused on trying to get that big, loopy forehand like Andreescu. It’s harder than it looks! I kept trying to get more topspin, but my timing was all off. Lots of balls went sailing long. But I kept at it. I really tried to visualize her swing, that huge takeback and the whippy finish. After a while, I started to get a little bit better. Still not as good as her, obviously, but progress is progress!
Then, I worked on my backhand. I have a two-handed backhand, and I wanted to see if I could get more power behind it. I focused on really driving through the ball and using my legs. Some shots felt great, others… not so much. Consistency is definitely something I need to work on.
After that, I practiced my serve. This is always a weak point for me. I tried to get more height on my toss and really explode through the ball. Managed to hit a couple of aces (pure luck, I’m sure), but also had a lot of double faults. Sigh. Serving is the bane of my existence.
Finally, I did some volleys. I went up to the net and had my practice partner feed me balls. I concentrated on keeping my racket head up and meeting the ball out in front. My volleys were okay, but I need to be quicker at the net and more decisive with my shots.
Here’s a quick recap of what I did:
- Warmed up: Jogging, stretching, shadow swings.
- Groundstrokes: Focused on topspin forehand.
- Backhand: Trying to generate more power.
- Serve: Worked on toss and explosion.
- Volleys: Focused on racket head position and meeting the ball out front.
All in all, it was a pretty tough session. I was sweating like crazy and my arms are killing me. But it felt good to really push myself. I definitely have a lot to work on, but I’m motivated to keep improving. Emulating pro players is hard! It just shows how much dedication and skill they have.

So, yeah, that was my “b fernandez tennis” practice. Maybe next time I’ll try to work on my drop shots… or maybe not. Those things are evil.
