Okay, so yesterday I decided to try making that “Serena Williams Tequila” drink I saw online. Looked kinda fancy, and I was bored, so why not?

First thing’s first, I hit up the liquor store. Grabbed a bottle of Lobos 1707 Joven Tequila – it’s what the recipe called for, and I figured I’d go all in. Also snagged some fresh pineapple, limes, agave nectar, and some fancy ginger beer. Couldn’t find the exact brand they mentioned, so I just went with a decent looking one.
Next, I started chopping that pineapple. Man, pineapples are a pain to cut! Got it all diced up though, and tossed a handful into my blender. Squeezed in the juice from, like, two limes, added a splash of agave nectar, and then blended that sucker until it was smooth-ish. Definitely could’ve used a better blender, but hey, it worked.
Now for the fun part: the booze. I grabbed my fancy cocktail shaker (dusting it off first, of course). Filled it with ice, then poured in a good two ounces of the tequila. Then added a couple of ounces of that pineapple concoction I made. Shook it like crazy for about 20 seconds – you know, to make it nice and cold.
I took out my prettiest glass (also dusted off), filled it with ice, and strained the tequila mix into the glass. Then topped it off with a generous pour of the ginger beer. Garnished it with a pineapple wedge and a lime wheel – felt pretty pro, ngl.
Finally, the taste test! First sip was… pretty good! The tequila was smooth, the pineapple gave it a nice sweetness, and the ginger beer added a little kick. It was definitely boozy, though. Maybe I went a little heavy on the tequila (whoops!). Next time, I’ll probably add a bit more pineapple juice to balance it out.
Overall, it was a fun little experiment. Not sure if I’d make it all the time, but it’s definitely a decent cocktail for a hot day. Plus, it made me feel fancy for a bit, which is always a win. Would recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for something different to mix up!

Next Steps
I’m gonna tweak the recipe next time I make it. Less tequila, more pineapple! Maybe even try adding a little chili for a spicy twist. Stay tuned for updates!
