My Little Style Experiment – The Anamaria Goltes Edition
So, I kept seeing pictures of Anamaria Goltes popping up here and there. You know, Luka Dončić’s girlfriend. And honestly, what caught my eye wasn’t anything super fancy. It was more how she puts together really simple stuff and makes it look… well, put together. Not like me, who usually looks like I grabbed whatever was clean off the floor.

I got this idea, maybe kind of a dumb one, to try and copy one of her more casual looks. Not to be her or anything, that’s just silly. It was more like a personal challenge. Could I actually think about an outfit for more than five seconds? I felt like I was stuck wearing the same three t-shirts and jeans forever.
The Plan (Sort Of)
I didn’t go crazy researching. I just remembered this one picture, I think she was walking a dog or something. Just looked really effortless. Jeans, some kind of simple top, maybe a jacket. Nothing groundbreaking, right? That’s why I figured maybe even I could do it.
- Step 1: Wardrobe Dig. First, I actually looked inside my closet. Found some jeans that weren’t completely faded. Check.
- Step 2: The Top Situation. This was harder. My simple tops are mostly old band tees or stuff with mysterious stains. I needed something plain. White or maybe beige? Had nothing quite right.
- Step 3: The Outer Layer. She often has a nice jacket or blazer, even with casual stuff. My options were a hoodie or a really old coat I hate. Not quite the vibe.
The Execution (Or Attempted Execution)
Okay, so the wardrobe dig wasn’t a total win. I needed a couple of things. I actually went to a store. Like, a real store, not just clicking online. Felt weirdly intentional about clothes for once.
I tried finding a simple, plain top. Easier said than done. Everything had weird logos or strange cuts. Eventually found a basic white t-shirt that seemed okay. Then I looked for a light jacket, maybe a blazer-type thing but casual. Found a sort of beige-ish one on sale. It wasn’t exactly what she wore in the picture I vaguely remembered, but it felt like it fit the ‘simple but neat’ idea.
Putting it all together back home felt… okay? I wore the jeans, the new white tee, the beige jacket. Looked in the mirror. Didn’t magically transform into a Slovenian model, shocker. But, I gotta admit, it felt nice to wear something I’d actually thought about, even just a little bit.
So, What Happened?

I wore the outfit out to grab coffee. Nobody stopped me on the street, obviously. But I felt a bit different. Less like I rolled out of bed and more like I put in a tiny bit of effort. It was comfortable, practical enough for just walking around.
It made me think, though. It’s funny how you see these people online, looking effortlessly cool. But even trying to copy the ‘simple’ stuff takes actual thought and sometimes, yeah, buying new clothes. It’s not really effortless at all, is it? Just makes you realize most of that stuff is curated, even the casual looks. Anyway, it was a decent little experiment. Might actually try thinking about my clothes again sometime. Maybe.
