Okay, so today I’m gonna walk you through this “luhua pool puzzle” thing I tackled. It was kinda fun, kinda frustrating, but hey, that’s what makes it interesting, right?
First off, what even IS Luhua Pool? Well, it’s this spot in Genshin Impact, right? And there’s this puzzle involving some fire torches and a couple of Geo Hypostases (those cube-shaped bosses). Sounds simple enough, yeah? WRONG!
I started by just running around, lookin’ at stuff. There were these unlit torches scattered all over, and a stone tablet with some cryptic message. Naturally, I ignored the message at first. Big mistake! I just started lighting torches randomly, hoping something would happen. Spoiler: it didn’t.
Then came the Geo Hypostases. Ugh. These guys are always a pain. I figured, “Okay, gotta beat ’em, then maybe the puzzle will solve itself.” So I swapped to my best damage dealers and went to town. Beat ’em both, thinking I was all clever… nope. Still no progress on the torch situation.
Okay, time to actually read the stone tablet. Turns out, it gives you a clue about the order you need to light the torches. Something about “looking towards the pool” or something equally vague. So I spent the next like, half an hour trying to figure out which torches were actually “looking” at the pool. This involved a LOT of running around, squinting, and muttering to myself.
Here’s the trick that FINALLY worked: I started at the stone tablet and then looked out towards the pool. Then, I identified the torches that were in my line of sight. Lit those up, and BAM! A cutscene triggered, and a chest appeared. Hallelujah!
So, what did I learn?
- Actually read the clues. Don’t be like me and just brute force everything.
- “Looking towards the pool” is pretty subjective. You gotta stand in the right spot to get the right perspective.
- Geo Hypostases are annoying, even when they’re not the main puzzle.
Overall, it was a pretty satisfying puzzle to solve. It’s one of those things where you feel really dumb when you finally figure it out, because the answer was right in front of you the whole time. But hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
