Alright, so you wanna know where this Tom Kim fella lives, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t as simple as pointin’ down the road. From what I hear, this young man’s been all over the place!
First off, they say he was born in Seoul, South Korea. That’s a big city, way over the ocean. Can you imagine? Born in one place, livin’ in another. Must be hard on the ol’ mama, always packin’ and unpackin’.
Where he hangs his hat now, that’s Dallas, Texas. Yep, that’s right, America! Heard it’s hot there. Don’t know how folks stand it. But I guess if you’re a fancy golfer like Tom, you get used to it. Probably got one of them fancy houses with the air conditionin’ and all.
Now, this boy, Tom, he’s a golfer, you see. A real good one, they say. Wins all sorts of tournaments. That’s how he makes his livin’, hittin’ a little white ball around a big ol’ field. Sounds kinda silly when you say it out loud, but them golfers make good money, I tell ya.

He ain’t always been in Dallas, though. Seems like he’s lived in a bunch of different countries. China, Thailand, Australia, Philippines… Lands I ain’t never even heard of! His folks, they moved around a lot, I guess. Finally settled down in Dallas with him. Probably wanted him to have a good education, you know, learn somethin’ useful. Though I reckon hittin’ that little white ball is pretty useful for him now!
This Tom, they call him a “phenom.” That’s a fancy word for someone real good at somethin’. He’s real good at golf. And he’s got friends in high places too, like this other golfer, Scottie Scheffler. They say those two are thick as thieves. Probably go fishin’ together and talk about golf stuff. Men and their hobbies, I tell ya.
They even gave him a nickname when he was a little tyke – Tom. Named after some train on the TV. “Thomas the Tank Engine,” they call it. Kids these days, with their fancy cartoons. Back in my day, we just played outside with sticks and dirt.
So, to answer your question, this Tom Kim, he lives in Dallas now. But he’s from South Korea, and he’s seen a whole lot of the world. He’s a busy fella, always travelin’ for golf tournaments and such. Probably got more stamps in his passport than I got wrinkles on my face, and that’s sayin’ somethin’!
But Dallas is where he calls home now. At least, that’s what they say. These young folks, they move around so much, it’s hard to keep track. One day they’re here, the next day they’re gone. But as long as he’s happy and makin’ a good livin’, that’s all that matters, right?
He seems like a nice young man, this Tom. Works hard, plays his golf, and stays out of trouble. That’s more than you can say for some of these youngsters nowadays. So, there you have it. Tom Kim, the golfer from South Korea, livin’ the good life in Dallas, Texas.
And remember, it ain’t where you start, it’s where you end up. This boy started in Seoul, and now he’s made a name for himself all the way in America. That’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon.
