Trying Out That Ashley Kelly Routine
So, I kept hearing about this “Ashley Kelly” workout thing. People were mentioning it, saw some clips maybe, you know how it is. Seemed like a decent challenge, so I figured, why not? Gotta try new stuff sometimes, right? Cleared some space in the living room yesterday morning, put on some old shorts and a t-shirt, ready to go. Or so I thought.

Didn’t really know what I was getting into, honestly. Just jumped in. The first few minutes felt okay, a bit of a warm-up, some basic moves. I thought, “Alright, this isn’t too bad.” Famous last words, eh?
Getting Into It
Then it started ramping up. It wasn’t just one thing, it was like a mix of stuff, back-to-back. My coordination went out the window pretty fast on one particular sequence. Felt like I had two left feet. And the pacing! Man, keeping up was tough. My breathing got heavy real quick.
There were parts that focused on things I usually skip, probably why they felt so hard. Let me tell you, some of those core exercises were something else. Had to take a couple of extra breaks, just standing there, hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath. Not gonna lie, felt a bit defeated midway through.
Key moments I remember:
- That weird jumping lunge thing – almost tripped over myself.
- Holding a plank variation that made my arms shake like crazy.
- Trying to follow the rhythm – definitely harder than it looked.
Pushing Through and Finishing Up
But, you know, I didn’t want to just quit. Stubborn, I guess. I modified some bits, slowed down where I absolutely had to, but I kept moving. Just focused on getting through the next minute, then the next. It wasn’t pretty, probably looked ridiculous, but I was doing it.
When the final bit was done, I basically just collapsed onto the floor. Seriously, just lay there sweating and breathing hard for a good five minutes. My muscles were already starting to feel it, that deep ache you get when you’ve really pushed yourself. Felt completely drained, but also kinda good? Like, yeah, I actually finished that beast.
So, that was my adventure with the Ashley Kelly routine. It was way tougher than I expected. Showed me I definitely have areas I need to work on, that’s for sure. Not sure if I’ll make it a regular thing just yet, need to recover first! But it was an experience. Sometimes you just gotta throw yourself into something new and see what happens. This time, what happened was a whole lot of sweat and shaky limbs.
