She’s an American actress, which I already knew, but what I didn’t know was that she grew up on her grandmother’s farm in Mississippi. Imagine that, from a small farm to the big screen!
She started her education at Tougaloo College and then transferred to Brown University. That’s where she really got into acting, studying with some pretty big names in the theater world. It’s always cool to see how someone’s education shapes their career path.
