Okay, so, “Cathy Collins.” Sounds simple enough, right? I figured I’d give this a shot, see what all the fuss was about. I started, like anyone would, by just typing it into Google.
First things first, I needed to, you know, actually find her. I Googled “Cathy Collins” without any specifics. I get a load of different people. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack, only the haystack was made of other needles, all also named Cathy Collins.
I saw options, and I had to refine my search, many profiles, websites, just a whole bunch of stuff that wasn’t what I wanted.
- First try: “Cathy Collins”. Too broad, way too many results.
- Second try: Add location or any thing that make the target clear.
So I made many searching and reading. It was a bit of a process, clicking through profiles, scrolling through pages, the whole nine yards.
And that’s pretty much it, I learned and tried some new staff from searching and reading.
