So, I was just thinking earlier, wondering what Sean Strickland’s been up to. Feels like I haven’t seen him fight in a bit, or maybe time’s just flying. Anyway, the question popped into my head: when is Strickland fighting next?

Had to figure it out, right? So, I did what I usually do. Fired up my computer, opened a browser window. My go-to move is just typing it straight in the search bar. Something simple like ‘Sean Strickland next fight date’ or ‘Strickland UFC schedule’.
You get a ton of results back, as always. Lots of sports sites, blogs, forums, people speculating all over the place. You gotta sift through the junk. Some headlines are just clickbait, saying ‘potential fight’ or ‘rumored bout’. I ignore those mostly, looking for something solid.
I scrolled past a few articles that were just rehashing old news. Then I spotted a couple of results from sources I generally trust for MMA news. Clicked on one, then another, just to cross-reference. It’s easy to get bad info if you just trust the first thing you see.
Finding the Goods
Okay, so after digging for a few minutes, I landed on some consistent information. It wasn’t just rumors this time. Seems like things are actually official.
- Opponent: Looks like he’s matched up against Paulo Costa. That should be interesting, stylistically.
- Event: It’s set for UFC 302.
- Date: The date I saw listed consistently is June 1st, 2024.
So, there it is. June 1st against Costa. Good to finally have a date pinned down. Took a bit of clicking around, but wasn’t too hard to find once I filtered out the noise. Now I just gotta remember to tune in. Should be a decent scrap.
