Okay, so yesterday I was super bored, right? And my kiddo was going on and on about iShowSpeed, like he’s some kinda god or something. So, naturally, being the curious (and slightly nosy) kinda person I am, I started wondering, “Where does this dude even LIVE?”
First thing I did, I hopped onto Google. Typed in “where does ishowspeed live” – real original, I know. Got a bunch of fan theories and clickbait articles. Nothing concrete.
Strike one.
Next, I figured, okay, maybe his real name might give me something. Did a bit more digging, found out his name is Darren Watkins Jr. Tried searching “Darren Watkins Jr. address” – Nope, nada. Just a whole lot of stuff about his streams and controversies.
Strike two.
Alright, time to get a bit more creative. Remembered watching some of his videos where he’s clearly in his house. Started going back through some of his older streams.
- Specifically looked for any geographical clues. Street signs, local businesses, anything that could give me a hint.
This took FOREVER, I’m talking hours, man. But eventually, I spotted a glimpse of a local pizza place sign in the background of one of his streams. It was blurry, but I managed to make out a few letters.
Took those letters, plugged them into Google Maps along with “pizza,” and started scanning around. After like, 20 minutes of scrolling, BAM! Found a pizza place with a name matching the letters I saw. It was in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Alright, we’re getting somewhere!
Okay, so now I know he’s probably somewhere in Cincinnati. That’s still a big area, though.
So, I went back to watching his streams, this time focusing on interior details. Things like window shapes, the layout of his room, the types of trees outside his window.
I then went to Zillow and started looking at houses for sale in Cincinnati, specifically focusing on houses with similar architectural features to what I saw in his streams. I spent at least another hour just browsing, comparing window shapes, the layout of the rooms, and anything that matched what I had observed in iShowSpeed’s streams.
Eventually, I gave up on pinpointing the exact address. It was a rabbit hole. Plus, let’s be real, even if I did find it, what would I do? Show up on his doorstep? Nah, that’s just creepy.
Strike three… but a partial win?
The Conclusion
So, did I find his exact address? No. But I did narrow it down to Cincinnati, Ohio. Honestly, that’s good enough for me. It was more about the challenge of finding out than actually knowing where he lives.
Lessons learned:
- People are surprisingly good at hiding their location online.
- IShowSpeed probably lives somewhere in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- I have way too much time on my hands.
