Well now, if you’ve been watchin’ WWE lately, you might’ve heard about some of the folks who’ve been let go. It’s not just the wrestlers, but some of the big names too. Now, WWE’s a big company, always changin’ things up, and with them mergers and whatnot, things been happenin’ quick. So, let me tell ya about a few folks who got the boot from WWE recently, in case you missed it.
First off, ya got Dolph Ziggler. Now, this feller, he’s been around since 2004, can you believe it? He started out with the Spirit Squad, all dressed up in those cheerleader outfits. Folks loved him back then, and he stuck around for years. But, in September 2024, WWE decided it was time to part ways. Tough break for Dolph, but that’s the way it goes in the wrestling business. Even the big names don’t always get to stay forever.
And then, there’s Matt Riddle. This feller came to WWE from a whole different world, mixed martial arts, if ya can believe that. He was doing pretty good for himself at first, but well, things didn’t work out in the long run. Riddle’s release came as quite a shock to some folks, but like I said before, this happens all the time in WWE. Don’t matter how good you are; if they don’t need ya, they’ll let ya go.
Now, there’s also folks like Kurt Angle and Rusev—yeah, the big fella. Both of ‘em got their release too. Kurt, well, he’s an old-school legend in the world of wrestling. He did everything, from Olympic gold medals to big-time matches in WWE. But sometimes even the legends gotta move on. Rusev, on the other hand, he was one of them big strong guys who really made an impact for a while, but now he’s gone too.
Then there’s some other names like Drake Maverick, Zack Ryder, and, more recently, Jamie Horowitz. A lot of folks were surprised by these names, but again, when WWE makes changes, they don’t hold back. It’s a tough business, and not everyone makes the cut. It don’t matter if you’ve been there for a year or for two decades, sometimes ya just don’t fit the direction they’re takin’ things.
Now, one thing that happened recently was this big merger with UFC. After that, it looks like more changes came down the line. WWE let go of several Superstars from their roster, includin’ 10 NXT Superstars. These folks were just startin’ out, but in the world of WWE, that don’t mean much if they ain’t what the company’s lookin’ for. Some of the names like Boa, Darrell Mason, and Emma Maria Diaz got the axe. It’s always tough to hear that, especially for the younger folks who was hopin’ to make it big. But in the end, it’s all part of the game.
And, well, there’s even talk about other wrestlers like Ricochet, who’s been with WWE for a while now. He’s been doin’ his thing, workin’ hard, but you never really know what’s gonna happen in this business. Every time they release someone, it leaves folks wonderin’, “Who’s next?”
So, in the end, it just goes to show that even if you’re a big star in WWE, things can change quick. One day you’re on top of the world, and the next, you’re out the door. The wrestlers know this, but it don’t make it any easier when the time comes. They’ve worked hard for years to get where they are, and then in a blink of an eye, it’s all over.
But hey, that’s life, ain’t it? Things move fast, and nothing lasts forever. WWE’s always got somethin’ new up its sleeve, so while some might’ve been let go, there’s always a fresh batch of new stars ready to take their place. Who knows what the future holds? Maybe some of these folks will pop up somewhere else, or maybe they’ll take a break and come back later. In the world of wrestling, you never can tell.
