Alright, alright, let me tell you ’bout this thing, this… “newday wwe,” whatever that means. Sounds like some kinda newfangled wrestling thing, the kind my grandson watches. He’s always yellin’ at that TV, “Powerbomb this” and “Suplex that.” Kids these days, I tell ya.
So, from what I gather, this “newday” thing, it’s a bunch of fellas who like to wrestle together. They started way back in 2014, but they really got goin’ later that year. Think of it like plantin’ corn – you sow the seeds, but it takes a while ’til you get a good harvest, you know?
These fellas, they’ve won a whole heap of championships, way more than most other groups. My grandson says they got like, twelve tag team titles or somethin’. That’s a lot, even for a stubborn old mule like me to understand. They must be pretty good, these “newday” fellas. Beatin’ up on everyone, I reckon.
Now, wrestling, it ain’t like it used to be. Back in my day, it was all about grit and gristle. These “newday” fellas, they’re a bit different. They’re funny, my grandson tells me. Always jokin’ around and makin’ people laugh. Seems kinda strange for wrestlin’, but I guess times change.
- They got these things called “promos.” That’s when they talk a whole bunch of nonsense before a fight. Like tryin’ to scare the other guy, I guess.
- Then there’s “backstage segments.” That’s like little plays they put on behind the scenes. Silly stuff, mostly.
- And they got funny moves, too. Not just punchin’ and kickin’, but flippin’ and flyin’ all over the place. Like acrobats, but bigger.
- My grandson even said they make “live appearances.” Guess that means they go around and show off for folks. Like a prize-winning pig at the county fair, but with more spandex.
It’s hard to pick just one funny thing they’ve done, my grandson says. There’s just so much of it. They’re like a bunch of clowns, but they can also throw a mean punch, if you know what I mean. Sounds like a good time, I guess. Folks seem to like ’em, that’s for sure.
These “newday” fellas, they even had a podcast for a while. That’s like a radio show, but on the internet. My grandson tried to explain it to me, but I just don’t get it. Too much new technology for this old gal. But they talked about wrestling and stuff, I think. It’s over now, though. Like a good crop, it had its season.
So, this “newday wwe” thing, it’s a bunch of fellas wrestling, makin’ people laugh, and winnin’ championships. They’ve been around for a while and they’re pretty darn popular. Sounds like they’re good at what they do, even if it’s a bit silly for my taste. But hey, as long as folks are happy, that’s all that matters, right? And who knows, maybe I’ll even sit down and watch one of their matches with my grandson one of these days. Might be good for a laugh, even if I don’t understand half of it.
From what I hear, these fellas are more than just wrestlers, they’re entertainers. And that’s probably why they’ve been so successful. They give the folks something to cheer for and something to laugh about. And in this world, a little bit of laughter goes a long way, let me tell ya.
And that’s the story of this “newday wwe,” as best as this old woman can tell it. It ain’t perfect, and it ain’t fancy, but it’s the truth as I understand it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
