Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this…what’s it called? NXT No Mercy 2023, yeah, that’s it. Some rasslin’ show, happening soon. Folks are all worked up about who’s gonna win, so I figured I’d throw my two cents in.
Now, I ain’t no fancy expert or nothin’, but I’ve seen my share of fights. Used to scrap with my brothers over the last piece of cornbread, so I know a thing or two about tusslin’. And this here NXT No Mercy, sounds like it’s gonna be a real barn burner.
First off, we got this Carmelo Hayes fella fightin’ Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship. Sounds important, that championship thing. Well, I’ve seen pictures of Carmelo. He’s a flashy fella, all smiles and fancy moves. But Dragunov, he looks tough. Like he ain’t afraid to get down and dirty. My gut tells me Dragunov’s gonna win. He’s got that look in his eyes, like a hungry dog after a bone. Yeah, I’m bettin’ on Dragunov.
Then there’s this tag team match, Axiom and Nathan Frazer against Chase University. Now, I don’t know much about tag teams, but I reckon it’s like workin’ in the fields. You gotta have partners you can trust. Axiom and Frazer, they sound like a couple of young whippersnappers, full of energy. But Chase University, that sounds more serious, like they got some learnin’ behind ’em. But in a fight, learnin’ don’t always matter. It’s about who’s tougher and who wants it more. I’m gonna go with Axiom and Frazer on this one, they are young and fast, and in the world of wresting that means a lot. I don’t know why, it is just what I think.

Now, they say this here No Mercy is happenin’ in Denver. That’s a long way from here, I tell ya. But I bet those folks in Denver are gonna be whoopin’ and hollerin’ just like we do at the county fair when the prize pig gets crowned. Wrestling is wrestling, no matter where you are.
I heard some folks talkin’ about “spoilers” and “predictions.” Sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me. You can’t know what’s gonna happen till it happens. That’s what makes it excitin’. Like waitin’ for the corn to grow, you never know for sure how it’s gonna turn out till harvest time.
But if I had to guess, I’d say this No Mercy thing is gonna be full of surprises. There’ll be some folks winnin’ who nobody thought could, and some folks losin’ who everyone thought were shoo-ins. That’s just how life is, ain’t it? Unpredictable as a chicken in a windstorm.
So, there you have it. My thoughts on this here NXT No Mercy. Take ’em or leave ’em, I don’t care. I’m just an old woman who likes a good fight, whether it’s in the ring or over a plate of biscuits. But one thing’s for sure: come Saturday night, there’s gonna be some folks happy, some folks sad, and a whole lot of folks yellin’ at their TV screens. And that, my friends, is what makes it all worth watchin’.
And another thing, I hope those wrestlers don’t get hurt too bad. It’s all fun and games until someone breaks a leg or something, I say. They should take it easy on each other, but I guess that’s not how wrestling works, is it? They get paid to beat each other up, silly if you ask me. But hey, it’s their lives, not mine.
One last thing, these fellas with the belts, they must be really proud of them. Like winning a blue ribbon at the state fair for the best pumpkin pie, only a whole lot shinier and heavier, I’d bet. It’d be cool to hold one of those belts one day. Not that I could win one, of course. My fighting days are long behind me, unless you count arguing with the chickens when they won’t lay their eggs.
Okay, I’m done now. Y’all go on and enjoy the show. And remember, it’s just wrestling. Don’t get too worked up about it. There are more important things in life, like family, and good food, and a warm bed on a cold night. And remember drink your water; those youngsters never drink enough water, always running around like headless chickens.
One more thing! I almost forgot. I heard they got some lady wrestlers too. Now, that’s somethin’ I can get behind. Women are tough, don’t let nobody tell you different. We can handle anything life throws at us, and we can probably throw it back harder. So, go girls! Show them boys how it’s done!
