Well, hello there, everyone! Today, I’m gonna yap about these things called “sticks”. I don’t rightly know why they call ’em that, but they do. Seems like everything’s a stick these days. You got yer makeup sticks, yer food sticks, all sorts of sticks. Let’s see what all the fuss is about.
First off, some folks are all ga-ga over these makeup sticks. Now, back in my day, we just used a bit of beet juice for blush and some soot for the eyes. But these young’uns, they got sticks for everything! I heard tell of “Rare Beauty All Of The Above Weightless Eyeshadow Stick”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They say it’s light as a feather, but I reckon a feather don’t cost as much. Folks are always askin’ if it’s worth the money, if it’s “worth the hype” as they say. I say, if it makes ya feel pretty, go for it. But a good laugh and a kind heart make ya prettier than any stick, that’s what I always say.
Then there’s them blush sticks. Like them Rhode Blush Sticks, or somethin’. Now, I ain’t never seen a blush in a stick form before. Back in the day, a pinch on the cheeks did the trick! But these young’uns, they want everything in a stick. They say it makes it easier to put on. Easier? Easier than a good ol’ pinch? I don’t know ’bout that. They’re always jabbering on about whether they “live up to the hype”, meaning is it really that good? Well, I reckon if it puts a bit of color in your cheeks and makes you happy, then it’s done its job.
- Eyeshadow sticks: For makin’ yer eyes look all sparkly.
- Blush sticks: For puttin’ a bit of color on yer cheeks.
- Sunscreen sticks: For keepin’ the sun from burnin’ ya.
- Mozzarella sticks: For eatin’! Now, that’s a stick I can get behind.
And don’t even get me started on them sunscreen sticks. They say it’s to keep the sun from burnin’ ya. We used to just wear a big ol’ hat! But now they got sticks for that too. Folks are always wonderin’ “Do Sunscreen Sticks Actually Work And Are They Worth The Hype?” Well, I guess if it keeps ya from lookin’ like a lobster, then it’s worth somethin’. But a good hat and a shady tree never failed me none.
But the sticks I can really get behind are them mozzarella sticks. Now, there’s a stick that makes sense! Fried cheese? Yes, please! I heard tell of someone tryin’ ’em for the first time and sayin’ they’re “definitely good”. Well, I coulda told ya that! Anything fried and cheesy is good in my book. Don’t need no fancy stick for that, just a good ol’ frying pan and some cheese.
Some folks are always talkin’ about “natural” and “organic” sticks too. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in the garden! They say it’s better for ya. Well, I always say, nothin’s better than a good home-cooked meal and a good night’s sleep. But if these “natural and organic” sticks make you feel better, then go ahead and use ’em. Just don’t go thinkin’ they’ll solve all yer problems.
And these folks makin’ these sticks, they’re always tryin’ new things, different things. I saw one fella sayin’ he’s gonna “try something a little different”. Well, I guess that’s alright. Keeps things interesting, I suppose. But sometimes, the old ways are the best ways. A good laugh, a warm fire, and a plate of mozzarella sticks. That’s all a body really needs.
So, there ya have it. My thoughts on sticks. Whether it’s makeup sticks, sunscreen sticks, or the good ol’ mozzarella stick, it seems like everything’s comin’ in stick form these days. Some are worth the fuss, some ain’t. But at the end of the day, it’s all just stuff. What really matters is kindness, laughter, and a good heart. And maybe a few mozzarella sticks on the side.
