Alright, so listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this here baseball game, the Yankees and them Pirates. I don’t know much ’bout fancy stats and all that, but I can tell ya who won and who did what, kinda.
First off, them Pirates, they beat the Yankees. Yep, Pirates won 4-2. Happened on September 27th, 2024. A whole bunch of folks was there watchin’, like 41,778 or somethin’. Game took ’bout two hours and forty-eight minutes, not too long, not too short, just right for a good sittin’.
Now, there’s this fella, Paul Skenes, pitches for the Pirates. He did real good, pitched two perfect innings at that Yankee Stadium. Them Yankees couldn’t touch his pitches, not one bit. And them Pirates, they was hittin’ the ball hard! Hit five home runs, can you believe it? Four of them was off that young pitcher, Luis Gil, for the Yankees. Poor fella, probably felt real bad after that.

They played again on September 28th too. Don’t know who won that one, but you can find that box score too, if you’re so inclined. Just look it up the same way, but change the date to September 28th.
Now, these two teams, the Yankees and the Pirates, they played a couple of times this year. So far, the Pirates done beat the Yankees twice. They ain’t hittin’ the ball all that great overall, somethin’ called a “.215 batting average” as a team against the Yankees, but I guess they hittin’ when it counts, right?

They mentioned him when they was talkin’ ‘bout the Yankees and some other team, the Guardians. Said somethin’ ‘bout ALCS schedule, must be another game or somethin’. Don’t pay it no mind.
